VNS is an Accredited Mediator

the Supreme Court of India.

VNS is associated with varied curricular and social activities. VNS enjoys impeccable reputation and integrity in the field of law and society. VNS had been Vice-President of ‘Supreme Court Lawyers’ Sport Association (SCLSA)’ and Vice-President of ‘Laadli Foundation Trust’ working for the welfare, safety and benefit of unprivileged women and General Secretary of ‘We The People’ and drafted Memorandum on Lokpal Bill, 2011 containing Differences with the Jan Lokpal Bill, 2011 of Team Anna. The said Memorandum on Lokpal Bill, 2011 was well considered by the Parliamentary Standing Committee in framing the law.

VNS argued extensively in the PIL, on one of the most burning issue concerning Delhi Gang Rape case, before the bench of Justice Altamas Kabir, the then CJI, Supreme Court of India. VNS also sent suggestion to the Govt. of India, which had agreed to bring amendment in JJ Act, very much on the lines of arguments advanced by VNS in SC and suggested to the Govt of India.

VNS suggested to the Chief Justice of India (CJI) concerning news of ‘Sexual Harassment of an Intern by a retired SC Judge’ and his suggestion and reasoning were well taken and openly appreciated by the CJI. VNS suggested to CJI to immediately appoint a Committee of 5 or 3 Senior-most Judges to investigate the allegation so as to pre-empt any loss of reputation for the Supreme Court as an Institution and also to pre-empt other negative factors, which might malign the very image of SC and its Judges; and to give a strong message to the nation that SC or CJI acted impartially and immediately on such issue.

On a petition filed by VNS, Delhi High Court stayed Delhi Cabinet’s decision, taken during Arvind Kejriwal’s tenure, to grant subsidy to power bill defaulters, waiver of penalty and withdrawal of power theft cases. Delhi High Court has directed the LG of Delhi not to implement this decision.

AUTHORED “ELECTIONOMICS”

The aspects of elections, its functioning, its analysis is all multifaceted and multi-layered. While there are ongoing issues that need redressal, there’s also a vision that is needed to be achieved. The Politics, itself cannot have a vision; it is open, fluid, for people and by its own people. This book introduces layers of what we see, what we could have seen, what we could have done as citizens, what betterments could have been brought in the system by way of sheer improvisations in the right directions. The Dream to achieve that heavenly kingdom must be seen and attempted; giving up hope can only let us dwell aimlessly in dungeons.

Published by world’s top publisher Thomson Reuters, the book contains a highly enlightening storyline weaved around real incidents of electioneering, applicable laws and rules, roles of Election Commission of India, political parties, candidates, corporates and 100-landmark election judgments of Supreme Court & High Courts.
